"The Wild Turkey Cock"

This hot-cast bronze by Kentucky sculptor Raymond Graf is 10.25" tall (including its base) and is limited to 250 individually cast pieces. Each piece in the edition includes a Certificate of Authenticity signed by both the artist and the Audubon Museum Curator.

This selection is the second miniature in a series based on the Henderson, Kentucky public arts project that features life-sized bronze sculptures taken from Audubon paintings. Audubon lived and worked in Henderson, Kentucky from 1810 to 1819.

Audubon chose the turkey as Plate #1 in his Double Elephant Folio of the "Birds of America". Audubon painted the turkey several times during his career and for decades the Wild Turkey Cock was the most popular of Audubon's images. Audubon's personal seal was a miniature of this image.

Pieces in this collection are sold individually on a first come basis.
